Commitment to compassion
- The staff of Lexinfo CC subscribe to the ethos of compassion for those less fortunate than ourselves. This finds expression in financial support of worthy causes as our financial situation allows. We believe that a commitment to compassion for those less privileged than we are, is an important fundamental value. Staff members are encouraged to research causes that are on their hearts and motivate amongst us for a financial donation on a rota basis.
The following charitable activities or public benefit organisations have been recipients of our donations in the past:
Animal Rescue
http://www.animalrescue.org.za/
The Animal Rescue Organisation was established in 1986 specifically to address the plight of animals living in township and informal settlement communities around the Cape. Thousands of animals live in amongst the poorest community settlements and up until 1986 had limited access to welfare services. The result of this was untold suffering and rampant overbreeding of both dogs and cats.
So it is with great pride that Animal Rescue can now boast a successful hospital facility as well as the services of 3 Mobile Clinics manned by trained animal welfare assistants. Over 20 000 sick animals receive our care every year and from humble beginnings working from the back of cars, they now hold an essential part of the animal welfare sector in the Western Cape of South Africa.
The Animal Rescue Organisation and Hospital is open daily from 8h30 to 16h00 and is situated in Olieboom Road, Schaapkraal.
