Attorney Alert Issue 46: 20 November 2023
The most recent interest rate, as per the Prescribed Rate of Interest Act 55 of 1975, was released in the Government Gazette on 17 November 2023 (GN4075 GG 49720 p39 17Nov2023). The notice specifies an interest rate of 11.75 percent per annum starting from 1 July 2023. The rates for the period between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023 were also published in the same notice.
